The program consists of ten components:

  1. Goal Setting
  2. Financial Planning
  3. Budgeting
  4. Debt Management
  5. Savings and Investments
  6. Retirement Planning
  7. Home Ownership
  8. Insurance
  9. Estate Planning
  10. Entrepreneurship

For the 2019-2021 biennium, the international focus for the Sorority will continue to be on debt management with the dFree Billion Dollar Challenge. In addition to empowering our members to be debt free, Tempe Alumnae will continue to focus on our #buyblack #shoplocal initiative.

dFree Billion Dollar Challenge

Delta Sigma Theta has joined the dFree Billion Dollar Challenge to educate and  empower the African American community to collectively pay down $1 billion in consumer debt. The challenge is free and we ask you to join our members in the challenge at www.billiondollarpaydown.com.

Supporting Black Woman Entrepreneurs at Arizona Fall Fest

We have once again partnered with our friends at Archwood Exchange and Local First Arizona to showcase three African American woman entrepreneurs at the 2019 Arizona Fall Fest.  The Arizona Fall Fest is the largest certified local event that brings people and local businesses together from all over the valley. This free, family-friendly and dog-friendly event showcases all things uniquely Arizona and allows local businesses to present their goods and services to the nearly 30,000 people that attend each year.

When our long-time partners, Local First Arizona, approached us about helping them to increase the diversity of the vendors at the event, we resoundingly agreed. We connected with another local partner, Archwood Exchange, who specializes in black business development in the Valley and a wonderful partnership was born.

This is our second year sponsoring three Black woman owned businesses for the Arizona Fall Fest. Below you will find details on each of these amazing companies.

Elev8ed Cre8ion

Parenting has a way of consuming a lot of our energy and time and for that reason our sorority sister, Deileta Kamhunga, decided to create amazing products that can help assist you in your parenting journey. Their Lil Wuv Bug Diaper Caddy Organizer serves multiple purposes and has many uses but it overall helps parents to stay organized. No more losing those tiny nail clippers and certainly no more going up stairs just to change the baby with this portable storage tote. Another product is the Ultimate Parent Backpack that stores your laptop, diapers, cell phone, keys, and so much more.
