7:30 PM - WELCOME RECEPTION AND PEP RALLY - "Rooted in Tradition"

We’ll kick off the weekend with a spirited evening of fellowship, unity, and celebration, setting the tone for an inspiring Founders Day experience.

9:30 AM - REDEDICATION CEREMONY

ATTIRE: Violet Dress (No pants)

We will come together to rededicate ourselves to our beloved sorority with our ritualistic tradition that honors our Founders and centers our hearts and minds.

11:30 AM - FOUNDERS DAY LUNCHEON - "Rooted in Purpose, Rising in Unity"

ATTIRE: Violet

Our celebratory luncheon, featuring Honorary Member Phyllis Newhouse, will inspire and uplift as we pay tribute to our Founders and recognize our sorors celebrating their 25, 50, and 75 year milestones. The following entree selections are available:

• Rosemary Mole Chicken - Seared airline chicken with rosemary, garlic and mulato chilies; served   with fingerling potatoes, broccoli and citrus mole reduction

• Lemon Cacio e Pepe with Shrimp - Linguini with shrimp, pecorino romano, black peppercorn, and lemon

• Vegan Stuffed Portabella Mushroom - Extra virgin olive oil-infused charbroiled portabella mushroom, stuffed with sweet red pepper, onions, and roasted corn; served with rice pilaf.

• Vegetarian Lemon Cacio e Pepe - Linguini with pecorino romano, black peppercorn, and lemon.

3:00 PM - SISTER CIRCLES - "Rooted and Rising"

Sorors will gather in smaller groups for meaningful conversations and activities, offering opportunities for connection, reflection, growth and creativity. This year's workshops are focused on grounding ourselves, reconnecting with sorors, and rising to our fullest Delta potential: 

• Repurposing Delta 'Nalia -  Are you ready to turn those old t-shirts and items that fit cozier than you would like into a stylish quilt or other useful items? This workshop will guide you step by step instructions to creating a memorable and unique keepsake while teaching the techniques you can use to make your own quilt. (Quilts will not be completed in the session) 

• Delta Resume - It's time to unlock your Delta Leadership potential. This workshop will help guide you in creating an impactful Delta resume. From formatting to highlighting your many accomplishments, small and large. Take this opportunity to seamlessly capture your Delta service journey while bonding with other Sorors from across the state.

• Crimson & Canvas - This is the perfect opportunity to unleash your inner artist through a relaxing guided paint session. Create both a beautiful masterpiece as you bring sisterhood to life on canvas.

• Working Across Generations/Every Delta is a Delta - Our journey into sisterhood may look different but we are all DST. This workshop will focus on the power of diversity, recognizing conflict and learning some new resolution strategies and techniques. We are all committed to building stronger sisterly bonds beyond our differences. Join us for an engaging and interactive session that will equip you to both connect, communicate and execute.

10:15 AM - INTERFAITH ECUMENICAL SERVICE - "Rising in Praise"

We will close the weekend in unity and faith, lifting our voices in praise and looking ahead with purpose. 

ARIZONA HISTORY MUSEUM

Throughout the weekend, attendees may visit the Arizona History Museum to learn about our impact on the Grand Canyon State since 1937. This dynamic space will be dedicated to showcasing the rich history, contributions, and sisterhood of our chapters across the state. Together, we will create an unforgettable experience that honors our past and inspires our future.

And of course we will have vendors and you may shop 'til you drop. There will be an array of vendors to ensure attendees have a diverse shopping experience as we support black owned businesses.

Phyllis Newhouse is a trailblazing entrepreneur, investor, retired U.S. Army senior officer, and mentor known for her visionary leadership and commitment to empowering others. After 20 years in the Army— where she founded the Cyber Espionage Task Force— she transitioned to entrepreneurship, founding Xtreme Solutions, Inc. (XSI) in 2002. Today, XSI provides cybersecurity and technology services across 42 states, employing a workforce that is 40% veterans.

In 2020, she became the first African American female CEO to take a SPAC public with Athena Technology Acquisition Corp., raising $250 million and merging with Heliogen. In 2021, she founded ShoulderUp Technology Acquisition Corp., raising $300 million with a mission to merge with cutting-edge technology businesses, and in 2025 successfully led its combination with Dot Ai (NASDAQ: DAIC), securing $12 million in PIPE financing to expand operations and R&D.

Phyllis is also a champion for women entrepreneurs. She co-founded ShoulderUp, a nonprofit and investment platform providing women with capital, networks, and opportunities, pioneering the first women-founded and women-led fund. Her philosophy of Resources, Opportunities, and Connections (R.O.C.) guides her work in building generational wealth and leadership pipelines for women and underrepresented voices.

Her accomplishments have earned recognition from Ernst & Young, Inc. Magazine, Enterprising Women, and more, and in 2023 she was inducted as an Honorary Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She serves on the boards of Dot Ai (NASDAQ: DAIC) and Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), with past board roles including Heliogen, Girls Inc., and the Technology Association of Georgia.
