Our celebratory luncheon, featuring Honorary Member Phyllis Newhouse, will inspire and uplift as we pay tribute to our Founders and recognize our sorors celebrating their 25, 50, and 75 year milestones. The following entree selections are available:

Sorors will gather in smaller groups for meaningful conversations and activities, offering opportunities for connection, reflection, growth and creativity. This year's workshops are focused on grounding ourselves, reconnecting with sorors, and rising to our fullest Delta potential:

We will close the weekend in unity and faith, lifting our voices in praise and looking ahead with purpose.
ARIZONA HISTORY MUSEUM
Throughout the weekend, attendees may visit the Arizona History Museum to learn about our impact on the Grand Canyon State since 1937. This dynamic space will be dedicated to showcasing the rich history, contributions, and sisterhood of our chapters across the state. Together, we will create an unforgettable experience that honors our past and inspires our future.

Phyllis Newhouse is a trailblazing entrepreneur, investor, retired U.S. Army senior officer, and mentor known for her visionary leadership and commitment to empowering others. After 20 years in the Army— where she founded the Cyber Espionage Task Force— she transitioned to entrepreneurship, founding Xtreme Solutions, Inc. (XSI) in 2002. Today, XSI provides cybersecurity and technology services across 42 states, employing a workforce that is 40% veterans.
In 2020, she became the first African American female CEO to take a SPAC public with Athena Technology Acquisition Corp., raising $250 million and merging with Heliogen. In 2021, she founded ShoulderUp Technology Acquisition Corp., raising $300 million with a mission to merge with cutting-edge technology businesses, and in 2025 successfully led its combination with Dot Ai (NASDAQ: DAIC), securing $12 million in PIPE financing to expand operations and R&D.
Phyllis is also a champion for women entrepreneurs. She co-founded ShoulderUp, a nonprofit and investment platform providing women with capital, networks, and opportunities, pioneering the first women-founded and women-led fund. Her philosophy of Resources, Opportunities, and Connections (R.O.C.) guides her work in building generational wealth and leadership pipelines for women and underrepresented voices.
Her accomplishments have earned recognition from Ernst & Young, Inc. Magazine, Enterprising Women, and more, and in 2023 she was inducted as an Honorary Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She serves on the boards of Dot Ai (NASDAQ: DAIC) and Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), with past board roles including Heliogen, Girls Inc., and the Technology Association of Georgia.

In communities across Arizona, many individuals face the daily challenges of homelessness, struggling to meet their most basic needs. As part of the Arizona Statewide Founders Day celebration, and in the spirit of this year’s theme, “Rooted in Purpose, Rising in Unity,” our community service project is a reflection of our shared commitment to uplift and support those in need.
About UMOM New Day Centers
UMOM provides safe shelter and supportive services for nearly 700 individuals experiencing homelessness – 155 families and 130 single women. They also offer over 900 units of affordable housing across the Valley. Seventy-five percent (75%) of UMOM clients are African American and/or Hispanic.
Donation Collection
Donations will be accepted throughout the 3-day weekend to benefit individuals experiencing homelessness and a complete list of needed essential items will be made available soon. Together, grounded in purpose and united in action, we can bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.
